It’s been a while since I posted work by an artist more interested in humans’ relationship with nature than with animals, and today I am excited to share some images by CJ Heyliger.  I have known about CJ’s photography since I was a teenager and tried to keep up; he has been in the Boston area since receiving a BFA from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in 2006 and is relocating to Los Angeles this summer to begin the MFA program at UCLA.

I love these images that represent several different concepts, like the absurdity of our interpretation and attempted control of nature and our relationship with the out-of-doors.  There’s something Daniel Shea-esque about CJ’s pictures to me.  I can’t wait to see what this guy produces next.
