I saw my first Damien Hirst piece, Philip (The Twelve Disciples), in the RADAR exhibition at the Denver Art Museum.  That was in 2006–how has it taken so long for Hirst to appear on this website?  It continues to receive such mixed reviews from audiences, but I’ve always found his work exciting.

I feel like the intrigue of the divided animals is a bit lost in images on the internet, and in photographic form I’m more interested in the details (the facial expression of that zebra…).  If you ever have the chance to see work by Damien Hirst in person, you must go!
