I posted Sage Sohier’s Perfectible Worlds work some time ago after I came upon it in a magazine in the darkroom at MICA, but I only discovered this project I adore recently. It was difficult to chose only ten images to display here; I swear, every single image in this series is so rich and complex and there is really so much going on in every picture. These photographs remind me of work by Alex Arzt and Robin Schwartz, some art superstars in my mind.
The artist is becoming very well-known for her series About Face, published last year by Columbia College Chicago Press. Upon reexamination, she is probably one of my most favorite photography artists.
